Beginner

Do you have a digital camera (a DSLR with interchangeable lens)? Are you stuck with the Auto mode? Or you are just not getting the pictures you want? Then this course if for you.

  • Learn the basic digital photography concepts
  • Understand aperture, shutter speed, ISO and their relations
  • Understand the different mode of your camera and when to use which
  • Tackle the most common problems like blurry images, low-light, flash, etc.
  • Learn the difference of portrait, landscape, and sports photography
  • Basic framing techniques
  • Hands-on practice

Fun-filled and feature-packed, the workshop is 4-hour long with 3 hours of lecturing and 1 hour of hands-on practice. You should be able to shoot in Manual mode after the workshop. Below are the registration details:

  • You must have a DSLR camera with at least one lens (multiple lens preferred). Camera model does not matter. If you do not have one, you are still welcome to join the workshop, however you will miss the hands-on practice section.
  • Next workshop is scheduled to be held on a Sunday in March, 2011 and potentially another during the Fall. Exact date is to be determined.
  • Total fee is $299 per person and $499 for two. 50% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve the seat and 50% is due two weeks before the workshop.

Advanced

Do you already have the basic skills and want to take it to the next level? Or maybe you want to become a wedding and portrait photographer yourself? Look no further as this is the only workshop available in the area that will lead you to success.

  • Understand advanced digital photography concepts
  • Learn advanced shooting techniques during different lighting situations
  • Learn how to use flash
  • Understand the pros and cons of different lens and when and how to use each (6 physical lens will be presented during the workshop)
  • Learn everything you need to know to start and operate a wedding and portrait photography business from your home
  • Learn how I do my post-processing in Photoshop and Lightroom by using actual pictures I took from weddings
  • Learn all the secrets and tricks I use during a wedding/portrait shoot

After the workshop, you should be able to know exactly what lens you would need to have and produce the same pictures you see in my portfolio. You should also be able to start your own wedding and portrait photography business in the comfort of your home. 

  • Extremely small class with only 3 seats available. Will never go beyond 5.
  • You must already have the basic photography skills and solid understanding of aperture, shutter speed, and ISO.
